Integrated Battery Traceability Soultion
From Flame-Retardant Material to a Smart Battery Interface
Integrated Battery Traceability Solution
Beyond Materials: Connecting Battery Safety and Lifecycle Data

CellTrace BlueTape is an integrated battery traceability solution that combines flame-retardant adhesive technology,

cell identification,

AI-assisted vision inspection, and a connected data platform.

Conventional battery packaging tape mainly serves as a physical material for securing and protecting battery cells.

LMATE takes this concept further by integrating QR-based cell identification into its flame-retardant and heat-resistant BlueTape,

transforming the tape itself into a smart physical interface between the battery and its digital record.

On the production line, a vision camera reads the QR code and unique Cell ID printed on the BlueTape.

The system can also inspect visible conditions such as tape presence, QR damage, contamination, and discoloration.

The inspection results are then connected to a data platform, where users can review information such as the Cell ID,

manufacturer, battery chemistry,

manufacturing date, latest inspection result, and recycling classification.

This allows each battery cell to retain a connected record from manufacturing and use through inspection, end-of-life handling,

and recycling.

Operators can quickly identify cells that require additional inspection, while manufacturers and recycling partners

can manage material information,

inspection results, and lifecycle data through one connected system.

Safety that stays. Data that follows.
Core Functions

Flame-Retardant Adhesive Material
CellTrace BlueTape provides the physical foundation for battery protection while supporting the long-term visibility and accessibility of cell identification information.
AI-Assisted Vision Inspection
The vision system identifies the cell and checks for visible abnormalities, including missing tape, damaged QR codes, contamination, and discoloration.
Lifecycle Data Platform
Cell identification, manufacturing information, inspection results, and recycling classification are connected into one continuous battery lifecycle record.
